Sea Change means subtle transformation

Sea Change UK is the work of Sheila Ryan.

I live in Bexhill On Sea, England and Moratalla, Murcia, Spain with my husband and terriers, Juno and Gloria. I have been a practicing homeopath and independent supervisor working with therapists, health and helping professionals for nearly 40 years.

Retired from clinical practice and from working exclusively with helping professionals, I am now involved in mentoring and writing for other women to be more resilient, resourced and relevant as we age.

I was inspired during lockdown 2020-21, to post a YouTube channel Sea Change at 70 in response to Government injunctions to the over 70s to stay home and isolate, as if we are all vulnerable and passive receivers of care. While aging does bring its own challenges we all know women in our 70s, 80s and 90s who are primary carers, volunteers, activists, creatives — and taking action to look after ourselves too.

I am an activist with a focus on justice for refugees, clean water and climate change action. A ritualist, writer, dancer, singer and natural human mover, I am finding my feet in both retiring from professional practice and in moving recently to Bexhill on Sea.
